Uno de los grandes atractivos de Kabanyal son sus arroces secos al horno, elaborados y servidos en la tradicional “llanda” valenciana. Entre las especialidades se encuentran el arroz al horno estilo Kabanyal, arroz negro, arroz del senyoret, de verduras de temporada, de pulpo, coliflor y bacalao, y de carrillera y pasas. También se puede degustar el tradicional arroz al horno cocinado en cazuela de barro, conocido en el barrio como “passejat” o “paseado”, siguiendo la costumbre local de terminar la cocción en el horno del panadero mientras se realizan compras en el mercado.

One of Kabanyal’s main attractions is its oven-baked rice dishes, prepared and served in the traditional Valencian ‘llanda’ dish. Specialities include Kabanyal-style oven-baked rice, black rice, senyoret rice, rice with seasonal vegetables, octopus, cauliflower and cod, and pork cheeks and raisins. You can also try the traditional baked rice cooked in a clay pot, known in the neighbourhood as ‘passejat’ or ‘paseado’, following the local custom of finishing cooking in the baker’s oven while shopping at the market.
